Baikonur is neither a museum nor a reconstruction, but an active spaceport – a living piece of space exploration history. Gagarin’s launch, the ‘Buran’ complex and the official launch viewing platform – this is one of the few tours in the world where you can literally, rather than metaphorically, get a feel for history.

Day-by-day itinerary:
After meeting the guests at the airport, lunch is planned in the city, followed by a visit to the Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, which showcases the region’s history and the culture of nomadic peoples. After the tour, there will be a private transfer to the village of Zhosaly. Upon arrival, guests will check in at the ‘Alma-Ata’ Hotel and have dinner.
Day 01
Arrival in Kyzylorda
The world’s first and largest spaceport, where the history of manned spaceflight began. The programme includes a sightseeing tour of the town of Baikonur and a visit to key sites at the spaceport: the legendary Gagarin Launch Pad, the command centre, the ‘Buran’ and ‘Energia’ complexes, and the Spaceflight Museum. Guests then proceed to the official viewing area to witness the highlight of the programme – the rocket launch.
Day 02
Baikonur
A visit to the ‘Korkyt-Ata’ memorial complex – one of Kazakhstan’s most famous sacred sites, situated on the banks of the Syr Darya River. The complex is dedicated to Korkyt-Ata, the philosopher, akyn and inventor of the kobyz. After the tour, a transfer to Kyzylorda Airport and departure.
